Late Nostalgic Boulevard, an EP by Kansas City, MO artist Watts the Future (@wattsthefuture) & Raleigh, NC producer Ace Dizzy (@acedizzyflow).
Late Nostalgic Boulevard is a short concept EP which lives its title to the fullest. A smoothly crafted project with a sound perfect for late nights, this offering serves as a narrative about the 4 L's (Love, Living Life, & the Like) & speaks volumes to anyone who has ever loved, lost, and loved again. It is the hopes of the artist & producer you will "cut it up & keep it rotating".
Watts The Future presents his latest project, Broadway Boulevard. "Broadway Boulevard" itself is a narrative about growing up in Kansas City, as well as serving as a vehicle to explain "The Divide", that thin sliver of line which separates those who want to progress from those who are comfortable in mediocrity and poverty. This project tells the story of Watts The Future, as well as fleshes out characters and concepts as a whole through which the entire story is told. Some of Watts personal favorites include "Happy Father's Day", a hard-hitting song about those feelings of coming to age as a man and feeling ill equipped due to the lack of a father in your life, as well as "4AM (Billy Eylle)", a tale about the pitfalls of success, which also tells the story of hisuncle who was a rising star songwriter in LA in the 90s, who succumbed to the distractions around him and lost his dream to drug addiction.
Watts The Future presents, "4AM (Billy Eylle)" the second single from my upcoming release entitled "Broadway Boulevard".
This track consists of my own personal feelings about the ascent towards success, both the perks and drawbacks. It draws from my personal experiences and also tells the story of my actual uncle, Billy Eylle, who was an upcoming singer and songwriter in the 90's who found his dream deferred due to drug addiction. This song is one of my favorites from the upcoming Broadway Boulevard project due to the fact it is extremely personal and I poured my soul into it. I hope you enjoy it, and in turn find yourself interested in checking out "Broadway Boulevard", the full-length project produced by Jackpot Hitz & Da Bandcamp from St. Louis, Missouri.
Kansas City, MO artist Watts the Future drops, "Playa Sh*t (Jems)". This release is the first single since July's full length "Lazy Saturday 1.5" mixtape and serves as nothing more than a fun song before the release of "Messiah (The Introduction)" visuals from the upcoming full length "Broadway Boulevard" project.
Kansas City lyricist Watts The Future presents,"Lazy Saturday 1.5" a combination of 2010's "Lazy Saturday", and several songs which have been recorded by Watts himself in preparation for the release of "Broadway Boulevard". The first half is a glimpse at where he has been, with #LeIntermission serving as the divider between new and old. Check out his latest track as well Watts The Future- Night Tales (She Down To Ride)
After a nearly two year hiatus I, Watts the Future, have returned with new material to lead up to the full length "Broadway Boulevard" project coming at the end of August. "Atmosphere" will serve as a small offering to the masses to satiate their hunger until "Lazy Saturday 1.5" (which will include Lazy Saturday (2011), as well as 8 new tracks recorded in the between time of Lazy Saturday & Broadway Boulevard.
