Dope Lyricist King Norman III

Dope Lyricist King Norman III
“Alterius non sit qui suus esse potest” .. a Latin phrase for “let no man belong to another that can belong to himself” is a motto artist/producer/entrepreneur King Norman III lives by. The Chicago native launched BYOB4Life after quitting his job to pursue his dreams in hopes of inspiring others to do the same through his music and philanthropic efforts.

In 2008 Norman launched BYOB4life, a boutique record label/management company with the intent of furthering the music careers of his friends while still working a full-time job. ”From the beginning I found out the music business was more business than music so I took a step back from creating.” Norman dove in promoting and booking shows for his friends but his work ethic was not matched by his peers.. “I wanted it more for them than they wanted it for themselves. I was promoting & booking shows, setting up photo shoots, studio time and they wouldn’t show. So to prove a point I gathered all my resources and released my own independent album on my own label.”

Dope Lyricist Curtiss King

Dope Lyricist Curtiss King
Hailing out of Carson California, Curtiss King has pioneered a unique sound with Blog-Hop. Sprinkle in the pot  a blend of fresh song concepts, a BEASTLY delivery,  a flow smoother than suede on ice, and addictive choruses over arpeggio synthesizers, big drums, and samples from just about any genre…and you’ve got a Curtiss King serving of Blog-Hop. But don’t get it twisted, Blog-Hop is not a ploy for Curtiss King to say he pioneered something. This is rather his attempt to bring that 90’s atmosphere of togetherness back to modern day Hip-Hop, and it’s now even broader audience.

And who better than Curtiss to make that happen? From a multicultural background himself, Curtiss King has a reputation of rocking out with just about any and everybody from all walks of life. With a grassroots movement Curtiss King has just about plastered his name everywhere. Through his production company he’s been able to produce for West Coast Up and Comers such as Ab-Soul, Young Rook, Kandi Cole, Dana La Rock, Reign Major, & J-Smooth. Through his own negotiations he has also been able to get his music placed on TV with corporate giants such as MTV2, FUSE TV, and VANS inc.

Dope Lyricist Angel Haze

Dope Lyricist Angel Haze
And when the beat started Angel Haze was sure to produce the fire that instrumented and produced the music we love so much today. Her favorite phrase "I say that I'm the best because I am," proving that day by day each time she writes and records. Over the past two years, Angel Haze has nearly become a household name as well as an automatically suggested Google phrase. “Who do you know that did it in a year, with no discovery?” For Angel, the most important thing is making it to the big leagues with little to no assistance. “A lot of my friends don’t understand how I’ve attained such a big buzz over this short period of time, I think the thing people neglect to realize is that this is my life. “Music is my life. I’m going to do whatever it takes to be heard, nothing less.” It is her drive, determination, and actual talent that set’s her aside from the acts of today. Granted the game has changed more than once since she’s entered into it, she still wants to be one of, if not the only female “lyricist” rebelling against all the frivolity hip hop has become. At only 19, she’s an immaculately captivating extremely hard act to follow. 2010, her self proclaimed year, watch what she does with it.

Dope Lyricist Badio

Dope Lyricist Badio
As a Hip-Hop artist, being considered “underrated” isn’t far fetched an understatement in regards to describing the musical finesse of BADIO. Born Liberian (Feb 16th, 1989) BADIO’S third world childhood experiences encouraged a more emotionally fortified approach to his art & times. It wasn’t until the fleeing of BADIO’S family to the United States (in 2000), did Badio begin intertwining the features & characteristics of his paintings with music.

Now more fortified than ever, the Virginia influenced, Arizonian adopted, forward thinking artist is fully aware and excited about his future. #WHATSBADIO – the Tape has been described as the Holy Trinity of the new wave hippies and hipsters, your ordinary student, the Supreme & The Hundreds rockers, and the dreamers of this world. Please stay tuned and well accustomed to the future of Badio, much is expected.
